Career club daylong job fair held at RU

RAJSHAHI, Nov 19, 2025 (BSS) - A daylong job fair held at Rajshahi University 
(RU) today aimed at generating job scopes for the graduates.
 
Rajshahi University Career Club (RUCC) and University Career Counseling and 
Development Centre (CCDC) jointly organized the event. 

RU Vice-chancellor Prof Saleh Hassan Naquib accompanied by Pro-vice-
chancellor Prof Mayeen Uddin, CCDC Director Prof Nurul Momen, Proctor 
Mahbubur Rahman, Students Adviser Dr Amirul Islam and RUCC President Pranta 
Barua inaugurated the fair.

In the daylong fair, 21 job-providing entities and many job-counselors joined 
the fair.

On the occasion, the participants were given ideas and knowledge on how they 
can contribute to the society through making and uploading positive contents 
in social media.
 
They were also provided information related to the safe use of the internet, 
the diverse use of social media, how to stay safe from cyber bullying and the 
importance of positive content through interactive sessions.
 
Apart from this, they were educated about many dangers like- hacking, 
predation, radicalization, hate speech, scaremongering and the required steps 
to be taken to save themselves from such risks.

Prof Saleh Hassan Naquib said the role of the youths is very important 
towards ensuring security in social media as they are the lion part of the 
social media and internet users.
 
Utmost emphasis should be given on creating awareness among the young 
generation so that they can be aware of their respective surroundings on the 
modern devices.
