DHAKA, Nov 21, 2025 (BSS) - China has honoured Bangladeshi professionals who participated in various Chinese government training programmes this year, underscoring both nations’ shared development vision and the strength of 50 years of Bangladesh-China diplomatic ties.

The Chinese Embassy in Dhaka hosted the “2025 Reunion for Bangladeshi Participants of Chinese Government Training Programs,” on Thursday evening bringing together nearly 200 Bangladeshi officials and representatives of past trainees.

Chinese Ambassador Yao Wen delivered the keynote address, highlighting the deepening people-to-people contact between the two countries and China’s continued support for enhancing the skills and expertise of Bangladeshi professionals.

Ambassador Yao said the long-standing partnership between Dhaka and Beijing is built on mutual trust, development cooperation and a shared vision for the future.

He reaffirmed China’s commitment to supporting Bangladesh’s socio-economic progress, particularly through capacity-building initiatives aligned with the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

Additional Secretary of the Economic Relations Division Mirana Mahrukh and Director General of the East Asia and Pacific Wing of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mohammed Nore-Alam also addressed the event.

They lauded the training programmes for contributing to stronger institutional cooperation and fostering greater understanding between the two nations.
