ICT prosecution gets global ambassador, adviser

DHAKA, Nov 20, 2025 (BSS) - The government has appointed a global ambassador for the prosecution team of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT).

The Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs appointed Bangladeshi origin British lawyer Barrister Muhammad Saif Uddin Khaled as the global ambassador, who will work as the ICT prosecution's international spokesperson.

Apart from this, Bangladeshi origin British lawyer Afzal Sami Syed-Ali has been appointed as the special prosecutorial adviser of the ICT chief prosecutor.

A press release from the ICT Chief Prosecutor's Office today said both the officials have been appointed for a one-year term on an unpaid basis.
