JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, Dec 2, 2025 (BSS) - Professor Dr. Borhan Uddin of 
the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department has been appointed as the 
new Additional Director of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of 
Jahangirnagar University (JU).

An office order signed by the university's Acting Registrar ABM Azizur Rahman 
today confirmed the appointment.

Prof Dr Md. Mushfique Anwar, who had been serving as the additional director 
of JU IQAC, was relieved of his duties upon his request.

Subsequently, Prof Dr. Borhan Uddin of the Department of Biochemistry and 
Molecular Biology was appointed to the position, the office order read.

He is also serving as the joint secretary of the executive committee of JU 
Nationalist Teachers' Forum.
