JU Chhatra Dal holds doa mahfil for Khaleda Zia's recovery

JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, Dec 2, 2025 (BSS) - Jahangirnagar University (JU) 
unit of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) today organised a doa mahfil seeking 
the early recovery of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda 
Zia.

The prayer session was held after Asr prayers at the university's central 
mosque, where leaders and activists of Chhatra Dal offered special prayer for 
her quick recovery from illness. 

Prayers were also offered for the eternal peace of late president Ziaur 
Rahman and Arafat Rahman Koko, along with a doa seeking wellbeing for BNP's 
Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.

Speaking on the occasion, JU JCD Member Secretary Wasim Ahmed Anik said Begum 
Khaleda Zia is a "pioneer of democratic movements and women's empowerment in 
Bangladesh" and noted her sacrifices for the country. 

"She is currently undergoing treatment in critical condition. We arranged 
today's doa mahfil praying for her recovery and long life," he added.
