Navy detains female drug trader in Khulna

KHULNA, Dec 5, 2025 (BSS) - Members of the Bangladesh Navy detained a listed female drug trader with one kilogram of cannabis during an operation at Cable Ghat area of Barakpur Union under Dighalia upazila this morning.

The detainee was identified as Morjina Begum, 40, who had allegedly been involved in drug trading for a long time, said a Navy press release.

She was handed over to Dighalia Police Station along with the seized cannabis for legal proceedings.

Navy will continue intensified operations and patrols in its designated areas to curb drug smuggling, terrorism
