JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, Jan 7, 2026 (BSS) - Jahangirnagar University (JU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan along with the university's pro-BNP teachers today paid floral tributes at the grave of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia in the capital.

The homage was paid at around 11:30 am at Zia Udyan in the capital on behalf of the JU unit of the Nationalist Teachers' Forum (NTF) as well as the university administration.

After placing wreaths, fateha was offered and special prayers were held seeking eternal peace for the departed soul of Begum Khaleda Zia.

JU Treasurer Professor M Abdur Rab, NTF President Professor Dr Md Shamsul Alam Selim, Vice-President Professor Dr Saleh Ahammed Khan, General Secretary Md Jamal Uddin, Joint General Secretary Professor Dr Borhan Uddin and Proctor Professor AKM Rashidul Alam were present, among others.
