Adilur Rahman pays tribute at July Memorial, martyrs’ graves in Bogura

BOGURA, Jan 24, 2026 (BSS) - Adviser to the interim government Adilur Rahman Khan today paid tribute at the July Mass Uprising Memorial and at the graves of the martyrs here.

He first laid wreath at the “36 July Memorial”, built in memory of those martyred in the July Mass Uprising at Satmatha here and offered prayers seeking eternal peace and forgiveness for the souls of the martyrs. Senior officials of the district administration and law enforcement agencies were present on the occasion.

Among those present during the programme are - Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bogura, Md. Toufiqur Rahman, Superintendent of Police (SP) Shahadat Hossain, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Mezbaul Karim, Executive Engineer of the Bogura Public Works Department Dr. Farzana Akhtar, Additional Superintendent of Police (DSB) Abu Sufian and injured fighters of the July movement.

Later, the adviser placed wreaths at the graves of the martyrs of the July movement at Namajgarh Cemetery in the city and offered prayers seeking eternal peace of the departed souls.

Subsequently, he attended a meeting on law and order at the DC’s office. The meeting discussed the overall law and order situation of the district, as well as issues related to maintaining development and stability.

Officials from various government departments of the district and representatives of private institutions also participated in the meeting.
