BCB donates Tk 2 Crore to DU for ground development

DHAKA, Feb 10, 2026 (BSS)-The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) today handed 
over a cheque of Taka 2 crore to Dhaka University as a grant to support the 
development of the university's Physical Education Center ground.

BCB Director Nazmul Abedeen Fahim formally presented the cheque to Dhaka 
University Vice Chancellor Professor Niaz Ahmed Khan at a handover ceremony 
held at the National Sports Council (NSC) Conference Room.

The event was attended by Dr Asif Nazrul, Adviser to the Ministry of Youth 
and Sports, along with officials from the National Sports Council and the 
Dhaka University Central Students Union (DUCSU).

An agreement will be finalized soon through a memorandum of understanding 
(MoU) between the BCB and Dhaka University. Under the MoU, the BCB will be 
entitled to use the ground for a minimum of 100 days during the cricket 
season.
