Nitai Roy exchange views with officials at Cultural Ministry

DHAKA, Feb 18, 2026 (BSS)- Newly-appointed Minister for Cultural Affairs 
Nitai Roy Chowdhury and State Minister Ali Newaz Mahmud Khaiyam today 
exchanged views with officials of departments and agencies under the Ministry 
of Cultural Affairs.

The meeting was held at the conference room of the Ministry of Cultural 
Affairs.

Addressing the meeting, Minister Nitai Roy Chowdhury said culture is the main 
driving force of a country. He called for working with new dreams to build a 
new society and a new Bangladesh

He stressed that all concerned must present the country's heritage before the 
people.
 
He also said the Ministry of Cultural Affairs should be taken to such a 
position where a life-oriented culture can be developed.

State Minister Ali Newaz Mahmud Khaiyam urged all concerned to begin a new 
journey through collective cooperation.
 
He also expressed his interest in undertaking new initiatives by utilizing 
the experience and willingness of all stakeholders.

Secretary of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs Md Mofidur Rahman delivered the 
welcome address at the meeting. Heads of various departments and agencies 
under the ministry were present, among others.
