Dr Zubaida, Zaima Rahman join Iftar with women, children

DHAKA, Feb 19, 2026 (BSS) - Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's wife Dr Zubaida Rahman and their daughter Barrister Zaima Rahman joined women and orphaned children for an Iftar on the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.

They participated in the iftar event at Jamia Qurbania Talimia Dawra Hadith Women's Madrasa and Orphanage in West Bashantek of the capital.

On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, a special food assistance programme is underway for the orphans and students of 14 orphanages and Hifz madrasas in the Korail and Bashantek areas of the Dhaka-17 constituency.

Under this programme, Iftar, dinner, and Sehri will be provided daily throughout the month of Ramadan at the respective orphanages and madrasas.
