DHAKA, Feb 24, 2026 (BSS) - Retired Secretary Monzur Morshed Chowdhury has been appointed as the Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

A gazette notification issued today by the Ministry of Public Administration said the appointment has been made under Section 49 of the Government Service Act, 2018. 

Monzur Morshed can assume the position on the condition that he relinquishes any other profession, business, or employment with any government, semi-government, or private institution or organisation.
