DHAKA, Feb 25, 2026 (BSS) - Labour and Employment Minister Ariful Haque Choudhury today emphasised the need to strengthen labour-management relations to effectively address the challenges facing the current government.

“We need to find new labour markets. We need to work, not just talk, keeping the national interest in mind. There is no other vision than work,” he said while addressing a meeting with representatives of the Bangladesh Employers Federation at the conference room of the ministry.

State Minister for Labour and Employment Md Nurul Haque was present at the meeting.

Nurul said, “A negative impression is being created about our employees because the Pre-Departure Orientation (PDO) of our employees going abroad is not being done properly.”

He emphasized on creating skilled human resources by making the training centers more active.

Officials of the ministry and representatives of Bangladesh Employers Federation were present in the meeting.
