
DHAKA, Mar 5, 2026 (BSS)- Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon has asked the officials of Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) to resolve quickly the administrative problems of teachers.
"Teachers coming to the DSHE from different parts of the country should not run have to be moved from one office to another unnecessarily for long time," he said.
The education minister was addressing as the chief guest at an exchange of views meeting with officials of the directorate at the DSHE auditorium this afternoon.
The minister said the issues related to teachers’ salaries and allowances, pension, leave, transfer, training and higher education must be settled quickly within the stipulated timeframe.
He laid special emphasis on introducing automation and modern methods to make the service delivery process easier and faster.
To end the culture of lobbying in transfers and ensure transparency, he directed authorities to take necessary measures to conduct transfer activities through artificial intelligence (AI)-based software.
The education minister said a digital system would be developed in the future so that service seekers could easily find information about the relevant desk or official according to the nature of their problems.
Speaking about the internal environment of the administration, the minister told the officials that more effective working environment must be created through proper coordination in government work, open discussion and mutual cooperation.
Unnecessary distance within the administration should be reduced to build a cooperative atmosphere so that the pace and quality of services in the education sector increase, he added.
He also urged the officials to express their opinions fearlessly and on the basis of logic.
At the meeting, DSHE officials highlighted some limitations of the online system and software management, prompting the minister to direct that these problems be resolved quickly to make administrative activities more dynamic and transparent.
DSHE Director General (additional-charge) Professor B M Abdul Hannan and senior officials of the ministry and the directorate were present.
