DHAKA, Mar 08, 2026 (BSS)- The government has asked all the English medium schools and coaching centers across the country to go for Ramadan vacation from tomorrow in a move to reduce public sufferings during the holy Ramadan.

The announcement came following an official order signed by senior assistant secretary of the secondary and higher secondary division of the Education Ministry Shirin Akhter today.

The decision has been taken unanimously in a meeting with the representative from the English Medium schools chaired by Education Minister.

According to the decision, the class programme of these schools will remain close from tomorrow and continue till the holiday of the holy Eid ul Fitr announced by the government.

But the compulsory examinations under foreign curriculum which were scheduled from before will continue.

The programme of all the coaching centers both Bangla and English medium also will remain close during this time, according to the government order.
