
RAJBARI, March 14, 2026 (BSS) - Prime Minister’s Finance and Planning Adviser Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir today said the government has taken the initiative to launch the Farmer Card on the very first day of Bangla New Year, Pahela Baishakh, which will play an important role in enhancing the dignity and capacity of farmers.
“Bangladesh is agriculture-based nation. Farmers follow Bangla calendar for farming. Therefore, the government will launch Farmer Card on the first day of Bangla New Year,” he said.
The prime minister’s adviser said this while speaking as the chief guest at a views-exchange meeting with teachers and guardians held this morning at Machpara High School premises in the district.
Rajbari Deputy Commissioner Sultana Akter chaired the meeting while Rajbari-2 lawmaker Harunur Rashid, Superintendent of Police Mohammad Manjur Morshed, Pangsha Upazila Nirbahi Officer Rifat-ul-Haq, Pangsha Upazila BNP President Md. Chand Ali Mia were present.
Speakers at the meeting emphasized the importance of coordinated initiatives by the government and local administration to improve farmers’ welfare and the education system.
