BCB women's wing to host Women's Cup in May

DHAKA, March 14, 2026 (BSS) - The Women's Wing of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is set to launch the BCB Women's Cup in a bid to keep the female players in continuous cricket.

The tournament is scheduled to be held in Dhaka from May 5-14.

The tournament will feature cricketers who participated in the last Dhaka Women's First Division Cricket League.

A total of eight teams will compete in the tournament, creating opportunities for 112 players to take part in a structured and competitive environment.

All participating players will receive a match fee of BDT 25,000 for the entire tournament.

The BCB will also arrange accommodation for players and coaching staff throughout the competition.

In addition, prize money will be awarded in several categories including Champion Team, Player of the Match and other individual performance awards.
