Mirza Abbas shifted from CCU to cabin in Singapore hospital

DHAKA, April 3, 2026 (BSS) - BNP Standing Committee Member and Political Adviser to the Prime Minister Mirza Abbas has been shifted from the critical care unit (CCU) to a cabin at Singapore General Hospital.

BNP media cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan confirmed the development, citing information from Abbas's family members.

"After speaking with his family members there, I learned that Mirza Abbas is slightly better than before," Shayrul said.

Mirza Abbas was flown to Singapore by an air ambulance on March 15 after his condition deteriorated.

Earlier, on March 11, he suddenly lost consciousness while drinking water during iftar. As his condition did not improve, he was admitted to Evercare Hospital Dhaka later that night.
