CHITTAGONG UNIVERSITY, April 22, 2026 (BSS) - Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) of Chittagong University unit brought out a protest march on campus last night denouncing 'anarchic activities' by Islami Chhatra Shibir and condemning attack on JCD activists at Chattogram City College.

The procession began around 9:45 pm from Smaran Chattar (Zero Point) and concluded at Gate No. 2 of the university. A brief rally was later held, presided over by Senior Joint General Secretary Md. Yasin.

CU JCD President Mohammad Alauddin Mohsin, General Secretary Abdullah Al Noman and Organising Secretary Md. Sajjad Hossain Hridoy, among others, addressed the gathering.

Speaking at the rally, Abdullah Al Noman alleged that a group previously active under the influence of Chhatra League in different campuses had been involved in suppressing general students and had now 'been exposed'.

He further claimed that the same group attacked general students at City College and later assaulted JCD activists when they protested. "Such terrorist activities will be resisted firmly," he said.

CU JCD President Mohammad Alauddin Mohsin said the organisation has taken a firm stance against covert politics following 2024 mass uprising.

He warned that any attempt to destabilise the academic environment through disruptive activities on campus would be dealt with strictly.
