
DHAKA, Apr 28, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted rains across the country in next 24 hours commencing from 9 am.
A Met office bulletin issued this morning said, "Light to moderate rain/thunder showers, accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind and lightning flashes is likely to occur at many places over Dhaka , Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur & Rajshahi divisions."
It also said moderately heavy to very heavy falls may occur at places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions.
Day temperature may remain nearly unchanged and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.
The highest temperature on Monday was recorded at 34 degrees Celsius in Cox's Bazar and Khepupara while today's minimum temperature was 18 degrees Celsius in Srimangal.
The sun sets at 6:26 pm today and will rise at 5:26 am tomorrow in Dhaka.
