Milon urges teachers to be more responsible in nurturing students

CHANDPUR, May 30, 2026 (BSS) - Education Minister Dr ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon today called upon the teachers to pay attention to moral, humane and ethical development of students along with providing academic knowledge.

“If teachers care for every student like their own child and take responsibility for their proper upbringing, no student will fail in the exam,” he told a discussion organized by Khajuria Lakshmipur Pir Sobhania High School in Kachua Upazila here.

He said when a student fails an examination; it is not only unfortunate for the student and the family but also for the nation as a whole.

Addressing teachers, he stated that their responsibility extends beyond classroom instruction. He said teachers can play a crucial role in shaping a generation into educated and ideal citizens.

ICT Division deputy secretary Md. Mahbub Alam also spoke at the programme with the participation of teachers, students, parents and local dignitaries.
