DHAKA, June 29, 2026 (BSS) - State Minister for Primary and Mass Education
Bobby Hajjaj today said the government seeks to work in coordination with
NGOs through effective partnerships to improve the quality of primary
education.
"Alongside the government, the desired change in education is possible only
through the collective initiatives of the government system and development
partners," he said while addressing the Geo-NGO Collaboration Dialogue as the
chief guest at the BRAC Center in the city, said a press release here.
The state minister said the government's main objective of education reform
is to increase learning outcomes. "To achieve this goal, the government is
placing the highest importance on five areas curriculum, teachers,
administration, infrastructure and technology. Future education reforms will
be implemented with a focus on these five areas," he said
He further said, "New initiatives are being taken in teacher training,
transparency in teacher recruitment and transfer systems, increasing
administrative efficiency, digital monitoring, and technology-dependent
education management."
Bobby Hajjaj said that to bring about simultaneous change in over 65,000
government primary schools across the country, realistic, scalable, and
sustainable initiatives are needed.
He said the government is working in coordination with various stakeholders
to ensure access to education for children with disabilities, those enrolled
in pre-primary and non-formal education, migrant children in urban areas, and
children living in tea garden areas and other marginalised communities.
