Skill development training for marginalized communities begins in Manikganj

MANIKGANJ, June 29, 2026 (BSS) - A 15-day special skill development course for marginalized communities began here today under the direction of the District Social Services Office.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Nazmul Hasan Khan inaugurated the training program as the chief guest with Md. Abdul Baten, Deputy Director of the District Social Services Department, in the chair.

A total of 25 selected individuals from various underprivileged communities including the Robidas, Monidas and barber communities are participating in the specialized course to upgrade their professional skills.

Speaking at the launch, ADC Nazmul Hasan Khan stressed that balanced national development is impossible if marginalized communities are left behind. He noted that the training is designed to help participants improve their professional efficiency, increase their income and ultimately become self-reliant.
