Development promises to be implemented gradually: Faqir Mahbub

DHANBARI (Tangail), July 03, 2026 (BSS)- Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Faqir Mahbub Anam today said all development works in Dhanbari-Madhupur, including roads, bridges, culverts, educational institutions and religious institutions, would be implemented gradually, reaffirming the government’s commitment to the overall development of the area.

He also warned against any irregularity or corruption in development works.

Faqir Mahbub Anam, also Minister of Science and Technology Ministry was addressing a roadside meeting at Jadunathpur in Dhanbari upazila, said a ministry press release. 

The minister said people of Dhanbari-Madhupur have given him the opportunity to serve them by giving vote in February 12, 2026 election.

The minister said the government had started development works within a short time after assuming office. Infrastructure development, improvement of the communication system, and development of educational and religious institutions in the area would be ensured in phases.

He further said contractors must maintain the highest standard in implementing development projects.

“No irregularity or substandard work in any project will be accepted,” he said, urging local people to inform the authorities concerned if they notice any irregularities anywhere.


Referring to the law and order situation, the minister said Dhanbari and Madhupur would not be a come places for extortion, land grabbing, drugs or gambling.

Criminal activities will be dealt with strong hand, he said, asking law enforcement agencies to remain vigilant in this regard.

The minister said a society should be built in away where women, children and ordinary people can move safely and live in a peaceful environment.

He also said the promises made to the people before the election would be implemented gradually.

For this, he said, cooperation and active participation of the people are necessary. Public representatives, administration and people must work together to ensure development and good governance.

Earlier, the minister inaugurated the earth-filling work at Dhanbari Nawab Eidgah and Playground in his constituency.

Government officials, political leaders, and distinguished persons and a large number of local people were present on the occasion.
