RAJSHAHI, July 14, 2026 (BSS) - A discussion was held today between Professor Faridul Islam, Vice-Chancellor of Rajshahi University (RU), and the Provost Council.
 
During the meeting held in the conference room of the Administration Building, the provosts briefed the Vice-Chancellor on various matters concerning the residential halls.
 
At that time, the Vice-Chancellor stated that the process of installing ACs in the reading rooms of the halls is underway to ensure a proper study environment for students. 

He also informed them that the work will be completed quickly.
 
Additionally, he informed the provosts that necessary measures will be taken in phases regarding several other issues related to the halls in the future.
 
The vice-chancellor sought the cooperation of the provosts to maintain a proper environment in the university’s residential halls.
 
Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Professor Md. Abdul Alim, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education) Professor Mamunur Rashid, and other relevant officials were present at the discussion.
