2-day Nazruler Chhondo Taranga workshop begins at Shilpakala

DHAKA, Sept 9, 2026 (BSS)- A two-day training workshop titled Nazruler Chhondo Taranga, focusing on the rhythms created by Kazi Nazrul Islam, began today at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.

About 200 young percussionists are taking part in the workshop being held at National Music and Dance Building. 

Shilpakala Academy Secretary Mohammad Zakir Hossain inaugurated the workshop which will continue from 10am to 2pm and 3pm to 7pm.
 
Participants will receive training on the rhythmic language, tempo, meter and instrumental techniques of Nazrul’s creations through practice and appreciation sessions.
