DHAKA, Dec 31, 2024 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has extended his New Year greetings and congratulations to the countrymen.

In a message on the eve of New Year, he said, "We may have to cross a more difficult path. We will have to continue our struggle to establish a true democratic system."

Stating that the people of the country should be more active in practicing and developing democracy in the state and society, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, "We all have to work together to fulfill the expectations of the people - this should be our commitment in the new year."

The BNP Secretary General hoped that the New Year would be a joyful one for the people of the country.
