DHAKA, March 1, 2025 (BSS) - Amar Bangladesh (AB) Party today announced a month-long programme to distribute iftar among the needy people every day.

"The mass iftar will be arranged at the Bijoy Ekattor Chottor (premises) adjacent to the AB Party's office daily 5 pm," party's chairman Mujibur Rahman Manju said this at a press conference held at the party's office at Bijoynagar here today.

Manju called upon the government to take effective actions to reduce public sufferings by controlling prices of essentials, breaking syndicates, easing traffic jam, and eliminating muggers and extortionists to maintain law and order situation.

He said the government has to pass this test otherwise people will lose trust - whether it will be able to hold a free, fair, inclusive, acceptable and non-partisan election.

Regarding the iftar program, he said this food distribution program among the needy and deprived people is a model.

He urged the capable people and organizations to follow the model and participate in the AB Party's program by donating food or money.

AB party's vice chairmen Colonel (Retd.) Didarul Alam and Lieutenant Colonel (Retd.) Helal Uddin were present in the press conference, among others.
