10 held on criminal charges from Mohammadpur area

DHAKA, Mar 2, 2025 (BSS) – Police have arrested 10 people on charges of various crimes during a special drive in the capital’s Mohammadpur area.

The arrestees were identified as Bashir, 47, Kashem, 23, Sanuj, 22, Alamgir, 34, Rahmat Ali, 25, Monir, 20, Emran, 34, Shuvo, 22, Rakib, 20 and Badal, 32, said a media release of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) today.

It said Mohammadpur Police Station conducted the special drives in various crime-prone sports under its jurisdiction and rounded the ten individuals up.

The arrestees include identified drug peddlers, active kidnappers, robbers, extortionists, fugitive accused and wanted individuals involved in various crimes. Homemade weapons and narcotics were recovered from their possessions.

The arrestees have been produced before the court.
