Tk 2.5 crore seized from ex-DGFI chief's residence

DHAKA, March 02, 2025 (BSS) - The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has seized Tk 2.5 crore from the residence of former head of the Directorate General of Defence Intelligence (DGFI) retired Lieutenant General Saiful Alam.
 
ACC Director General (prevention) Md Akhter Hossain told reporters at a briefing held at the ACC headquarters today.
 
"The ACC was continuing the investigation into various allegations against the former high official," he added.

On February 27, the ACC, assisted by detectives and joint forces, conducted a raid at his cantonment residence from 11 pm to 3 am and seized approximately Tk 2.45 crore, an ACC official stated.
