2 snatchers held with motorcycles in Badda

DHAKA, March 3, 2025 (BSS) - Police have arrested two professional snatchers while attempting to snatch at Uttar Badda in the capital. 

The arrestees were identified as Md. Taibur Mia, 21 and Sunny Ahmed Samir, 20, said a media release of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) here today. 

On a tip-off, a patrol team of Badda Police Station conducted a raid at the south side of Khalpar Bridge on Abdul Hamid Road of Uttar Badda as they came to know some snatchers were waiting there to rob people, said the relese.

The law enforcers arrested the duo on the spot while another fellow of them managed to escape the scene. Two motorcycle and three knives were seized from their possession.   

Police said at the initial interrogation, both the arrestees confessed that they used to snatch in Badda and surrounding areas in an organized manner. 

There are multiple cases of theft, drugs, rape and robbing against them at the DMP's Badda and Narayanganj's Araihajar Police Stations.

Legal process is under way against them.
