3 AL leaders arrested in Lalmonirhat in killing case

LALMONIRHAT, March 4, 2025 (BSS) - Police arrested three Awami League leaders from their residences in Kaliganj upazila of the district early today in connection with a killing case during student-led mass uprising.

The arrestees were AL Cholbola union joint general secretary Mominur Islam Momin, Chandrapur union former chairman Mahabubur Rahman and Lalmonirhat Zila Parishad former member Mostafizur Rahman Bullet.

They were arrested in connection with the killing case of Mahamudul Hasan Munna.

Munna's father Abdul Mazid filed the case on August 29 accusing 128 people, including former social welfare minister Nuruzzaman Ahmed.
