DRU permanent member Sayed's mother passes away

DHAKA, March 6, 2025 (BSS) –Jahan Ara Begum, mother of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) permanent member and Daily Inqilab special correspondent Sayed Ahmed Khan, breathed her last while undergoing treatment at Islami Bank Central Hospital   this morning.

She was 80, family and DRU sources said.

She left behind three sons, two daughters, grandchildren, relatives and a host of relatives and admires to mourn her death.

Jahan Ara Begum was buried in the family graveyard after a namaz-e-janaza at Khan Bari at Tulatoli village under Meghna upazila of Cumilla district today.


In a message of condolence, DRU   President Abu Saleh Akon and General Secretary Mainul Hasan Sohel expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Sayed's mother.

They prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
