DHAKA, March 7, 2025 (BSS) – Joint Forces including Darus 
Salam Police arrested two members of a professional dacoit 
gang and recovered huge local weapons from their possession 
from the city’s Darus Salam area.

The arrested are Md Saqlain Khan Tamim (22) and Md 
Abdullah Nayan (24), police said. 

The joint forces also recovered six knives, three iron knives, a 
switch gear, a hammer, an iron blade and a steel perforated 
metal knuckle from their custody.

The joint forces team conducted an operation at a house 
located in Basupara under Darus Salam Police Station at 11:35 
pm last night and arrested them, police said.

Saqlain and Abdullah were arrested along with locally made 
weapons while trying to flee from the spot. 

A case was registered against them with Darus Salam Police 
Station in this connection.

Police further said that the arrested persons are active 
members of a professional gang of robbers. During initial 
interrogation, they confessed that they had gathered at the 
house with weapons to commit robbery.

Legal action is underway against the arrested persons.
