Tarique Rahman to bear Magura rape victim's treatment cost

DHAKA, March 8, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has taken the responsibility of the treatment of rape victim child of Magura.

He talked to her mother over phone today and took all the responsibility for treatment of the girls and assured her of providing all kinds of support.

Third grader child, who was brutally tortured and raped while visiting her sister's house, is battling for life at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

The 8-year-old child, a resident of Zaria village in Sreepur upazila of Magura, came to visit her elder sister's house in Mathpara village of Magura Sadar.

On March 6, she was allegedly raped by her sister's father-in-law, Hitu Sheikh. 

Her brother-in-law himself is also allegedly involved in the incident.
