2 youths die after falling from moving train roof while making TikTok video

DHAKA, April 2, 2025 (BSS) - Two youths were killed and two others sustained severe injuries while making TikTok video on the roof of a moving train in Akhaura of Brahmanbaria today.

The deceased were identified as Abdul Quayum Mia, 22, son of Abdul Karim, of Debidwar upazila of Cumilla district and Tareq Mia, 20, of Kosba upazila of Brahmanbaria.

The injured were Iqram Hossain, 18, and Bllal Mia, 25.

According to railway police, four youths were making video on the roof of Sylhet-bound Paharika Express. While recording the video, suddenly they became entangled in a dish antenna cable over the railway tract and fell off the train.

Quayum Mia died on the spot and three others received severe wounds.

Locals rescued them and sent them to Brahmanbaria General Hospital where Tareq Mia succumbed to his injuries.
