DHAKA, April 04, 2025 (BSS) - Pro-BNP cultural organization Sobar Age Bangladesh Foundation is going to host Swadhinata Concert on April 11 marking the Independence Day 2025 to promote local artistes and culture.

Swadhinata Concert will be held on April 11 in four divisional cities including at Manik Mia avenue in Dhaka under the initiative of Sobar Age Bangladesh Foundation.

BNP publicity secretary Sultan Salahuddin Tuku said this at a news briefing after visiting the venue of the concert at Manik Mia Avenue here this morning.

Tuku said the concert will be arranged to promote local artistes. Sobar Age Bangladesh Foundation is organizing the concert with the participation of local artistes at the directives of BNP acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.

“During the previous government, India artistes were hired in various state programmes neglecting local talents. Now Pakistani artistes are being hired to perform in such programmes which is very sad,” he said.

The BNP leader said their aim is to promote local hidden talents as well as the artistes who have already showcased Bangladesh on the world stage with their performance.

“We want to evaluate these talents as well as showcase our own culture and heritage. No party identity will be considered here. Only those who are artistes in the true sense will be promoted. Those who have spoken against BNP in the past have not been left out. We want to build a new inclusive Bangladesh,” he said.

Although the concert will be held at 4 venues including Dhaka on April 11, it will be organized in the other divisional cities and district headquarters in phases.

He sought media cooperation to make the event a success inviting the citizens to enjoy the concerts.
