39 held in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, April 4, 2025 (BSS) - Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested 39 people, most of them were leaders and activists of Awami League and its front organizations, on suspicion of creating anarchy and hatching a plan to destabilize the country's situation.

A CMP press release said law enforcement agencies detained them from different parts of the city during special drives in the past 36 hours since Wednesday midnight.

The release added that most of the arrestees were accused in different criminal cases, including attacks on the student-led July Uprising Movement and under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
