DHAKA, April 11, 2025 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Navy arrested a man and seized illegal firearms and weapons during a raid in Kutubdia upazila of Cox's Bazar on Thursday night, said an ISPR press release.

Acting on a tip-off, the navy conducted an operation at a house in the Akbar Bali Para area of North Dhurung union and detained Dil Mohammad Raihan.

Two locally made firearms (shotguns), three rounds of live ammunition, and three locally made sharp weapons were recovered from his house.

The detained individual and the seized items were later handed over to Kutubdia Police Station for legal proceedings.

The Bangladesh Navy continues its deployment in designated areas across the country to ensure national security, prevent criminal activities, and maintain law and order, read the release.
