2 murder suspects arrested in Chuadanga

DHAKA, April 13, 2025 (BSS) - The Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) has rounded up two key accused of a murder case from Chuadanga.

The arrested were Rokonuzzaman Palash, 26, and Sumaiya Akhter, 26.

The case was filed with Savar Model police station regarding the murder of Sajjad Islam Sabuz, 26, son of Md Yusuf Ali of Madbar Housing at Hemayetpur in Savar of Dhaka district, according to a press release.

Sabuj went missing on April 3 this year. Later, his body kept inside a carton.

After the murder of Sabuj, both Palash and Sumaiya went into hideout in their relative houses in different areas, and recently they planned to flee India.

Based on the information, a team of PBI conducted a drive and nabbed the duo from Chuadanga district.

PBI said murder was originally committed over the exchange of obscene and nude photos between the victim, Sajjad Islam Sabuj, and the accused, Sumaiya Akhter Trisha, on Facebook.
