Court orders to attach 17 acres plots of ex-MP Shubid Ali, freeze bank accounts

DHAKA, April 17, 2025 (BSS) – A court here today ordered to attach 17.79 acres of plots, owned by former Member of Parliament (MP) Major Gen (retd) Mohammad Shubid Ali Bhuiyan and to freeze 21 bank accounts in his name and the names of companies related to him.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the orders, following a petition from the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

The anti-graft body in its plea said the accused is planning to sell his immovable properties, draw or transfer money from his accounts.

“For the sake of proper investigation, his immovable properties should be attached and accounts should be frozen,” the petition added.
