RANGPUR, April 17, 2025 (BSS) – Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Mahbuba Farzana has said that every government official and employee must have knowledge about case management.
 
“The more knowledge public servants have about the law, the greater the public trust in them,” she said while virtually inaugurating a workshop on ‘Laws and Strategies to Assist in Case Management’ held at Dinajpur Circuit House conference room today.
 
The day-long workshop was arranged under the initiative of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, a local PID press note said here this evening.
 
As many as 35 officers and employees involved in case-related work of the Department of Information, Department of Mass Communication, Bangladesh Betar and Bangladesh Television working in Rangpur division participated in the event.
 
The Information and Broadcasting Secretary also presented the main article of the workshop.
 
Regarding the purpose of the workshop on cases, the Secretary said that the main objective of this workshop is to protect government property and expedite the process of case settlement.
 
“As government employees, our responsibility is to have a clear understanding of the law and to properly conduct case-related activities so that government property is not damaged due to any wrong decision,” she said.
 
“If we acquire proper knowledge about the case process and laws and regulations, we will be able to avoid misuse of property and legal complications,” she said.
 
The Secretary also urged the participating officials and employees from all over Rangpur division to apply the knowledge gained from the workshop properly in professional work.
 
Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Mahfuza Akhtar, its Law Officer (Additional District and Sessions Judge) Md. Masud Parvez, Deputy Commissioner of Dinajpur Md. Rafiqul Islam and Senior Assistant Secretary of the Ministry Motaleb Hossain were present as resource persons in the workshop.
