Dhaka, April 26, 2025 (BSS)– The leaders and activists of the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) today installed dustbins and placed awareness-raising placards at Hakim Chattar and Milon Chattar on Dhaka University (DU) campus to foster a cleaner and healthier campus environment.

JCD Central Joint General Secretary Md. Tariqul Islam Tariq led the cleanliness drive.

Speaking on the occasion, Tariqul Islam said, “We launched this ‘Clean Campus’ program out of a sense of responsibility toward Dhaka University. Following the vision of Tariq Rahman, we want every campus in the country to be student-friendly, clean, and science-oriented."

"Accordingly, we cleaned long-standing waste at Hakim Chattar and Milon Chattar and installed dustbins to encourage students to dispose of garbage properly,”  he added.

Participants activists and leaders stated that they have planned to expand such cleanliness drives to other halls and departments of the university.
