Deniers of ‘47, ‘52, ‘71 no right to do politics: Bulu

CUMILLA, May 12, 2025 (BSS) – BNP vice-chairman Barkat Ullah Bulu today said deniers of 1947, 1952 Language Movement and 1971 Liberation War, 30 lakh martyrs and proclamation of independence by Major Ziaur Rahman have no right to do politics in Bangladesh.

He said this while addressing the biennial council of BNP’s Laxmipur and Payalgachha unions of Barura upazila of the district.

Bulu claimed that BNP is the only party of freedom fighters formed by great proclaimer of independence and great statesman Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman.

Describing role of BNP chairperson and former prime minister Begum Khaleda Zia and her son party’s acting chairman Tarique Rahman in the movement to restore democracy in Bangladesh, he said Tarique Rahman will return home being loved by 18 crore people and become the head of the government winning the next general election.

Laxmipur and Payalgachha Union BNP’s  committee were announced with 71 members and 51 members each in 18 wards of the two unions.

Haji Nurul Islam and Ali Akbar were elected president and general secretary of Laxmipur union of BNP while Payalgacha Union BNP gets Khandaker Humayun Kabir and Gazi Abdul Hai as president and general secretary respectively.
