DHAKA, May 12, 2025 (BSS) - The Detective Branch (DB) of the police in separate raids arrested four more members of the Awami League (AL) from different parts of the capital.

The arrestees were identified as 32 no ward AL member and former president of 32 no ward Jubo League Md. Arman (53), former reserved female councillor of ward no. 67, 68, 69 of Dhaka South City Corporation Mahfuza Akhter Himel, Organizing Secretary of Gulistan Unit Jubo League Md. Mozammel (45) and Dhaka Medical College Unit member of Awami Swechasebak League Md. Sumon (35).

Separate DB teams arrested them from Champatoli area of Chawkbazar police station, Sunrise Plaza area under Mohammadpur police station, Fakirapul area of Paltan police station on Sunday, said a press release.

They were involved in an attempt to create panic in the public mind by destroying law and order and destabilizing the country by holding hasty processions in different places in the capital, the release said.
