CHATTOGRAM, May 13, 2025 (BSS): Satkania   police arrested Md. Azhar Uddin 48, a Jubo League cadre and a union parishad (UP) member from Keranihat area in the upazila of the district today.
 
He is the son of Abu Taher, hails from Maulana Chhagir Shah Para of ward no- 3 of Chodaha union in Satkania upazila.
 
He was elected member of ward no-3 of Chadaha union parishad under Satkhania upazila and   president of Chadaha union Jubo League.
 
 Police said that he was involved in various terrorist activities including attack on student processions during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, attack on BNP, Jamaat and LDP leaders and activists, capturing polling stations, and extortion during the rule of the ousted Hasina government.
 
Officer- in-Charge of Satkania police Md. Jahedul Islam said  Azhar was arrested from Keranihat area under Keochia union of the upazila around Monday midnight .

He has been produced before the court in connection with attack on the student processions.
