DHAKA, May 14, 2025 (BSS) - Detective Branch (DB) of police on Tuesday arrested six more members of Awami League (AL) and its affiliated organizations from different parts of the capital. 

     The arrestees were identified as Meherpur Upazila Sadar Chairman Md Shahjahan, 50, 33 no ward Jubo League joint general secretary Rubel alias Rubel Molla, 45, vice-president of Sonargaon Thana AL of Narayanganj district Hazi Ali Akbar Member, 77, central vice-president of Swechchhasebak League and former president of Dhaka University's SM Hall Chhatra League, Md Abdul Alim Bepari, 54, 5 no ward Juba League leader Sahabuddin Ahmed Shuvo, 38, former central Chhatra League leader Ansarul karim, 30. 

     Deputy Commissioner of DB Muhammad Talebur Rahman confirmed their arrests, saying they were arrested for their involvement in making the country unstable by bringing out flash processions at different parts of the capital city. 

     The arrestees were accused of specific charges in multiple cases with different police stations.
