DHAKA, May 16, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman has urged party men to play an effective role in building a humanitarian Bangladesh, being imbued with the spirit of the July uprising.

"The country is now facing various difficulties . . . deep conspiracies are being hatched from home and abroad against nation. So, all should remain vigilant in this situation," he said.

He made the call while addressing a meeting of the party's central working committee at its central office in the city's Maghbazar on Thursday.

"Conspiracies are being orchestrated to jeopardize the peace and stability of the country," added Dr Shafique.

Presided over by Dr Shafiqur Rahman, the meeting was also attended by central working council members, the acting secretary general, and naib-e-ameers.

The meeting also discussed the overall situation of the country along with organizational aspects of the party.

Drawing attention to senior party leaders, the Jamaat chief said, "You should play an effective role in building a humanitarian Bangladesh along with all people, irrespective of their class and profession.

"You must be cautious while making any comment," the Ameer advised the leaders.

Suggesting that party leaders remain highly aware while dealing with every issue in the country, the Jamaat Ameer said leaders should always maintain patience and rely on Almighty Allah in every situation.

"Party leaders should never get involved in any provocation or unpleasant incident," he added.
