200 detained in joint forces' drives from May 8 to14

DHAKA, May 16, 2025 (BSS) - The joint forces in separate raids across the country detained a total of 200 miscreants from May 8 to May 14, 2025, and recovered illegal arms, ammunitions, crude bombs and different types of drugs, among other things from their possessions.

"The joint forces combining different units under various infantry divisions and independent brigades of Bangladesh Army and other law enforcement agencies conducted the nationwide raids and managed to detain 200 miscreants, including murder case accused, listed criminals, armed cadres and smugglers," an ISPR release said here today.

The joint forces recovered 10 illegal weapons, 87 different types of bullets, 11 crude bombs, different types of drugs, local sharp weapons, lifted mobile phones, adulterated food items, smuggled goods and cash from their possessions.

The joint forces handed the detainees over to respective police stations after necessary interrogation.
