DHAKA, May 17, 2025 (BSS) - BNP chairperson's adviser Zainul Abdin Farroque today sought announcement of roadmap for the next national elections very soon.

"The government must quickly complete the reforms and move towards the elections. The people of the country are eager to vote,” he told a discussion organized by Jatiyatabadi Torun Dal at Jatiya Press Club here.

Farroque said BNP and other democratic parties have been demonstrating for restoration of democracy for the last 17 years and BNP believed that the election environment has returned to country after ouster of Sheikh Hasina’s Awami League government.

Jatiyatabadi Torun Dal president Dr. Md. Abu Bakar Siddique chaired the event while BNP joint secretary general Abdus Salam Azad, religious affairs secretary Md. Rafiqul Islam Jamal were present, among others.
